ARE YOU INTERESTED IN……….WORKOUT NORDIC WALKS – Part 2

In last week’s Newsletter (view HERE if missed) I asked you to contact me if you are

interested in pushing your fitness to the next level with our Workout Nordic Walks. These walks work on increasing your fitness level by increasing resistance and speed i.e. by hill training and use of Gear 3, plus other advanced technique styles e.g. leaping, bounding and skipping. Not for the faint hearted!

I also questioned whether aiming for your 10,000 steps per day was sufficient to increase your fitness and to help prevent the onset of chronic disease as we age.

Since writing that short article I watched Michael Mosley’s “The Truth About Getting Fit” and was pleased to hear that he agrees with me! The recommendation of walking 10,000 steps daily has never been put through the rigours of research and, therefore, there is no scientific evidence to support this activity. It was simply a marketing campaign to sell a product called a Manpo Meter delivered by a company during the run up to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics!

ARE YOU READY FOR A NUTRITIONAL MAKEOVER? COMING IN APRIL!

I am currently checking out this new 28-day eating plan and hope to start offering it from 1st April. As a Nutritionist, I am very particular which programmes I offer my clients. So far it is looking good – some gems of information about nutrition and some very inspiring healthy recipes. If you would like me to add you to the pre-sales list then email at info@swmanchesternordicwalking.co.uk
